East Nicolaus High School

Dear ENHS Community,

We hope this message finds you well. We’re writing to share an unfortunate update regarding the upcoming Time Capsule Unearthing Ceremony that was scheduled for Friday, May 9th on the East Nicolaus High School campus.

Yesterday, members of the ENHS Time Capsule Committee, in coordination with current school administration, previewed the contents of the time capsule in anticipation of the event. Regrettably, we discovered that all items had fully decomposed, and nothing inside was salvageable for display or preservation.

As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the ceremony.

While this outcome is disappointing, it does not diminish the spirit or pride that inspired the idea in the first place. We are incredibly grateful to the Class of 1975 and everyone who contributed their time and enthusiasm to bring this vision to life. Sometimes, even with the best intentions and planning, things don’t go as hoped—but the shared effort and community connection still matter deeply.

  The Class of 1975 will still gather for their 50th class reunion on May 31st, and we are confident that many cherished memories will be shared, along with the same joy, laughter, and camaraderie that would have filled the air at the time capsule ceremony.

The East Nicolaus Friday Night Live chapter would like to invite parents and community members to our "One Pill Can Kill" assembly featuring our guest speaker Laura Didier, aimed at educating our students and community about the critical issues surrounding fentanyl. Please reach out to Mr. Geivett or Teena Earhart if you have any questions.  The assembly takes place on Tuesday, April 29th at 8:30am in the Gym.

Sports Physical Night for the upcoming 2025- 2026 School Year will be held on May 27th @ 5:30pm in the East Nicolaus MPR. Please have your student athletes come to this Sports Physical Night to get cleared for the upcoming school year!

Please join us on Monday, March 24th at 7:00pm for a Special School Board Meeting in which our school board will begin the process of identifying the Board Priorities and District/School Priorities. From this meeting we will then be working with our different educational partners (students, staff, parents and community) to gather feedback to help inform the school board of their priorities. Over the next few months all of the information from the different educational partners will be analyzed and a plan will be presented to the school board to help move ENHS forward in a positive direction. We will be continuing the new PM Pickup Procedures for the month of February. Please make sure to continue to follow the new procedures we have put in place for PM Pickup. If you are picking up elementary school students along with your high school students please pull into the student pickup lane closest to the front of the school and they will be waiting at the flagpole area to be picked up. We just want to remind all students and families of our DRESS CODE POLICY. As we are in the winter season here are just a few reminders of the policy. 

• No pajama pants are to be worn on campus

• No blankets are allowed on campus

We are seeing an increase in student cell phone violations. This is a reminder that students are not allowed to use cell phones during instructional time. Students are required to put their cell phone in the designated area in the teachers classroom. If students are caught using a cell phone the school will be following the cell phone policy for discipline. Cell Phone Policy.
